Health is offered in Tolland Public Schools in all grades Kindergarten through high school.  The goals of the health program are for the student to know the effects of alcohol and other drugs, factors in the environment that affect health, major ways to prevent injury, how to promote the maintenance of mental health, appropriate nutrition, factors related to personal and consumer health, the benefits of physical activity, the basics of family health and sexuality, and the dangers of tobacco use.  As part of the student's graduation requirement, he/she is required to design a personal nutrition program.
