USAGE
OF PTO FUNDS
All
money raised during a school year is utilized the following year.
The PTO president, treasurer and the principals put together the
budget in May, and it is voted on in June. The following is a list of what budget areas the PTO sponsors
each year:
Assemblies
Author Visits
Basic Aid Training Classes
(part of the fourth grade health curriculum)
Bookbinding Supplies
Curriculum Enrichment
(for Science, Social Studies, Technology, Art, Music & more)
Dramatic Arts Enhancements
(for the music programs)
Fine Arts Field Trips
(one trip per grade)
Gardening Fund
(sponsoring the Ecology Club enrichment program)
Reading at Home/Exercise at Home
(PTO provides the prizes and books which are given away as children
complete the RAH and EAH programs)
Resource Materials
(everything from laminating film to supplies for the punch and bind machine)
Recess Equipment
Staff Appreciation!
Teacher Activity Fund
(each teacher receives $75 to spend however they choose on classroom enhancing items)
TV Turn Off Week supplies
Tolland Public Library Reading at Home Program
