There are sixteen different units in this class.  Each takes a week to a week and a half to complete. There are two cooking labs in each unit.   The units include:

  • Measuring and Nutrition
  • Quick Breads
  • Yeast Breads
  • Cookies
  • Cakes
  • Soup
  • Eggs
  • Pastry
  • Poultry
  • Meat
  • Seafood
  • Fruit
  • Vegetables
  • Cheese
  • Grains
  • International

ServeFoodservice

The foodservice class will serve lunches to the senior citizens from October to January and then again from February to June.  The meals cost $4.00 each and are served in room #93 from 10:30-11:45 every Friday.   Hockanum Valley Community Council provides a bus for senior citizen transportation.   The menu is available on Ms. DeBlois' web page. These meals consist of:

  • an appetizer
  • a main dish
  • a dessert (a diabetic dessert is always available)
  • coffee or tea

The child development class has nursery school students (age 3) come to the high school every Tuesday and Thursday from 8-10am. The childhood education class has preschool school students (age 4) come to the high school every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10:10-12:10. Students study the fashion world, clothing and society and sewing and embroidery techniques in the Clothing and Fashion Class.
