I all the way up through Spanish V is offered with Honors courses for levels
III, IV, and V. Spanish I introduces the language to students, while Spanish
II builds upon what the students have already learned. In Spanish III students
acquire more advanced communication skills. Spanish IV is a review of Spanish
grammar and teaches about the Spanish culture. The final course, Spanish
V, improves the students' Spanish skills and exposes them to more Spanish
literature and culture. The state-of-the-art language lab will be used to enhance the curriculum. |

At Tolland High School students have the
chance to take French I all the way up through French V / UConn COOP French.
French I introduces basic knowledge of the French language to students,
giving them beginning vocabulary and communication abilities. French II
and French III build upon what is learned in French I and also teach about
the francophone world. In French IV students learn even more advanced
grammatical concepts and experience francophone literature and media.
The final French course offered by THS is French V / UConn COOP French.
In this course students hone their French skills and experience more advanced
francophone literature and culture. The state-of-the-art language lab will be used to enhance the curriculum.
