Tolland Family Resource Center Preschool
The FRC Preschool programs strive to enhance children’s skills in the areas of language, cognition, social and emotional development, and motor development. Activities are planned to increase school readiness skills through developmentally appropriate activities.
The FRC Preschool program is based on The Creative Curriculum for Preschool, Connecticut Preschool Framework, and CT ELDS Connecticut Early Learning Developmental Standards.
The 3 Year Old & 4 Year Old Preschool classes offer a balance of structured learning activities, social time, and play. The programs promote child initiated exploration in a safe, secure and nurturing environment. Daily activities include: free play, circle time meeting, snack time, outside play or play in the school gymnasium, center time play and exploration (dramatic play, building, creative play, sensory exploration) and more. These classes are located at Birch Grove Primary School.
Kindergarten Readiness is a full day program that prepares your child for kindergarten. The program will offer a balance of structured academic activities, social time, and play. Children must be 4 on or before September 1, 2025. This class is located at Birch Grove Primary School.
Lunch Bunch Plus is a childcare program for children who attend FRC preschool or Birch Grove AM Preschool. (This is not an extended preschool program.) This program will consist of lunch time, story/music, rest time, outside play or center choice, and quiet activities. You may choose from two to five days.
Our 2025-2026 schedule is as follows:
3 year old Preschool Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:00 AM–12:00 PM
Must be 3 years old by December 31, 2025
Annual fee - $1910 or 10 payments of $191
4 year old Preschool Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9:00 AM- 12:00 PM
Must be 4 years old by December 31, 2025
Annual fee - $2860 or 10 payments of $286
Kindergarten Readiness Monday - Friday 8:40AM - 3:30 PM
Must be 4 years old by September 1,2025
Annual Fee - $8500 or 10 payments of $850
Lunch Bunch Plus Monday - Friday 12:00 - 3:00 PM
2 days per week - $180.00 monthly
3 days per week - $270.00 monthly
4 days per week - $360.00 monthly
5 days per week - $450.00 monthly
